Through figurative painting, I create dreamlike spaces where the body intertwines with memories, emotional states, and animal forms, blurring the boundaries between physical and psychological reality.

Rabbits and birds are recurring motifs in my paintings, carrying associations of vulnerability, innocence, instinct, freedom, and transformation. Rather than illustrating stories, I construct visual worlds in which these symbols embody inner experiences. The human figure often appears fragmented, concealed, or merging with its surroundings, evoking states of intimacy, loss, protection, and metamorphosis.

My paintings explore the tension between soft colour harmonies, layered surfaces, and delicate beauty, and the underlying unease beneath them. They inhabit an ambiguous, transitional space where tenderness and melancholy coexist, and familiar motifs gradually take on strange, almost surreal meanings.

My aim is not to provide definitive answers, but to create a contemplative space in which viewers can project their own emotions, memories, and stories onto the paintings. My work reflects on questions of memory, identity, vulnerability, and belonging.

ARTIST STATEMENT My work explores the fragile boundary between the human psyche and the symbolic world of animals.
